Horning takes on the “Administrative State”

Freedom, IN – In previous press releases 8^th District US House Rep. candidate Andrew Horning detailed the inflationary and profligate debt spending of the incumbent US House Rep., the cause of inflation under unconstitutional monetary policy and central banking, and how to fix it.

But as damaging and dangerous as bad money and debt spending are, perhaps more ominous threats to both our economy and liberty are what Thomas Jefferson described as “…a Multitude of new Offices,” and “Swarms of Officers to harass our People, and eat out their Substance.”  Or, today what we call, “The Administrative State” of executive agencies that have unconstitutionally acquired executive, legislative and judicial powers all their own.

Horning’s day job is in healthcare, an industry where nearly all the rules are written, judged and enforced by unelected bureaucrats in agencies that have multiplied like rabbits since even before the New Deal.  There are over 400 agencies that have the power to mandate, prohibit, imprison, reward, tax, fine, open and shutter businesses, and, significantly, shoot people.  They spit out laws like machine gun bullets, and, actually, these agencies have actual machine guns and SWAT teams.  Even the HHS and EPA have military assault equipment, body armor, guns and ammunition.  I have to wonder if the Small Business Administration is jealous that their Glocks don’t have silencers…like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has.  Among other agencies that have stockpiled hollow-point ammo banned by the Geneva Convention are the Forest Service, National Park Service, Office of Inspector General and …Bureau of Fiscal Service!  Agriculture, education, even the Smithsonian is heavily armed such that these agencies are now more heavily armed than are the US Marines.

STOP!  This must stop.  And I have a plan to stop it.

Nullification Resolution

Freedom, IN – As a US House Rep. I would immediately introduce the following to be a Joint Resolution:

“Whereas the plain wording of the 10th Amendment of Constitution for the United States of America is binding law;

Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, that;

All laws, agencies, programs and treaties not clearly and specifically authorized by the Constitution for the United States of America, are unconstitutional;

Any agency, treaty, law or program operating outside authority specifically granted by the Constitution for the United States of America is null and void;

Unconstitutional laws, agencies, programs and treaties have created both problems and dependencies that will take time to rectify;

A temporary agency shall be empowered to identify and, either phase out unconstitutional federal powers, delegations, laws, programs, treaties and entities, or legitimize by constitutional amendment those agencies, treaties, laws or programs deemed necessary to the assurance of peaceful liberties, property and prosperity of American citizens.“

I challenge all my fellow candidates for both US Senate and House of Representatives from Indiana to support this resolution, or state their reasons for either their opposition, or modification.

I Predicted the “Unpredicted”

Freedom, IN – This past Wednesday, at the European Central Bank’s annual policy forum in Portugal, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, said, “I think we now understand better how little we understand about inflation.” He also claimed that “This was unpredicted.”

That’s either intentional deceit or inexcusable ignorance.

Lots of us have predicted the “unpredicted,” and not only Nobel Prize-winning economists. I certainly have; in writing, campaigns and in protests. And not only this recent hockey-stick acceleration of the inflation ongoing for more than a hundred years. What’s now called “Modern Monetary Theory,” or MMT, is described and debunked in a whole chapter of my book, “The Truth about Excelsior.”

This is not just the historical and anti-constitutional problem with moneychangers, though I do agree they should be chased away with a whip of cords. The whole raison d’être of Central Banks is to monetize political debt – to make future generations pay for today’s selfish, myopic politics. Both Democratic and Republican Party politicians have been playing “Good Cop/ Bad Cop” to win public support for ever-more government power and ever-fewer human rights, prosperity, security, justice, and freedom. What’s consistent between those evil twins is that government spending, debt, corruption, divisiveness and destruction grows, no matter which of the two crony puppet parties wins.

The almost inevitable “red wave” of GOP victories will not only not fix this – it will continue our acceleration to self-destruction.

There is a fix for this, and much more besides. But it’s up to voters to make that change by using their votes as intended – as weapons of peaceful revolution.
